Float, City of Angels, CA. 2019.

What a mess we are in. An estimated seventeen million Americans will lose their health insurance because of what passed through Congress and signed into law on July fourth. Seventeen million now in need of a guardian angel. Seventeen million, that number is only the tip of the iceberg. The ripple effect of this bill will hit the Republican party constituent base hard; many who rather fall on their own sword than admit they’ve been duped. There’s not much one can do for people who choose to be willfully blind.

For the rest of us who can see what is to come, we cling to hope, but brace for the fallout. Perhaps, I am being naive, when I tell you, I have secretly been holding out for a guardian angel to come through and save the American people. Pretty silly, huh?

You see, all my life, I have sensed a guardian angel has been watching over me, an invisible, but omnipresent entity hovering, ready to snatch me out of death’s grim grasp at a moments notice. How else can I explain to you why I am here, still alive when I am not supposed to be. I have flirted with death and death flirted back.
